Social Activities
Right Choice encourages people with a disability to access community and social activities to be more independent and to participate in community activities. We encourage our clients to engage in a broad range of community activities such as group activities, events, joining a class, or outings. We can provide a range of social activities and plan it tailored to your individual goals and interests which may include

accessing the library
-
watching a movie at the cinemas
-
accessing swimming centres
-
visiting a friend
-
light plumbing
-
escorting you to the shops
-
attending a sporting event
-
holding your hand when you need extra reassurance
-
visiting the gym
-
playing cards or board games
-
watching TV with you
-
teaching you how to use a computer
-
reading correspondence or newspapers to you
-
accessing training and educational programs in the community
-
accessing sporting events such as a football match

Managing Life Stages

We help our clients in developing the skills to live independently and also be
independent in accessing the daily activities. We offer support which includes
-
assisting with the development of daily skills such as cooking, menu planning, house cleaning, laundry and budget planning
-
linking you to community, leisure and cultural activities
-
building skills to use local facilities and services such as banks, shops,public transport and recreational facilities
-
supporting you to become more involved with others in the community,and to experience a variety of activities and relationships
-
finding the right service e.g. in-home care, counselling and/or leisure
-
assisting with referrals to health and social support professionals
-
finding a job
-
finding a place to live
-
identifying eligible funding support
-
assisting with funding applications
-
working with family members or support networks to resolve issues.

Travel Assistance
We support our clients to be more independent and have the freedom to stay mobile both in and around their home. Weather you have lost mobility on a temporary or long-term basis, we can provide support including
-
assistance with transfers, use of hoists and other mobility aids
-
provision of transport for community access activities
-
attending to personal care needs when you are out and about
-
getting you to regular medical appointments
-
visiting a loved one
-
transport to and from events and functions
-
full carer support at sporting events

work or family celebrations
